Type: Great Basin Cody Knife
Material: Black Obsidian
Size: 2-5/8" Long x 15/16" Wide.
Grade: G-9 This specimen has a heavily ground stem with nice short
longitudinal thinning strikes, mix of collateral pressure and horizontal
transverse flaking. Nice onion skin patina, good tip & size.
Provenance: Found by Warren Syring whom was a early Oregon Archeological
Society member while on a sponsored hunt on privately owned property
near Ft Rock in Lake County, Oregon during the 1940-60's. The Syring
collection was curated by his Son Clifford Brault whom passed it on to
his Granddaughter Cindy Larreau whom sold it to Mark Berreth in 2002.
